Here We Are.
The world looking for answers.
The Church debating whether to even have service online or if we should meet in that building anyway because “the devil should not have its way”.
The employed looking for a quiet place to just rest and think for one second, some looking for more work because this just isn’t going to cut it and others working from home.
The housed trying to use every incentive to reduce rent or mortgage payments.
The discouraged already looking around like “yup, this is the end of the world”.
The confirmed covid-19 case just trying to survive this diagnosis that didn’t even exist until a few weeks ago.
Wasn’t this supposed to be the best year yet?
Wasn’t 2020 supposed to be the beginning of the new you? The new me? The beginning of an amazing decade?
Here we are.
The world forced to admit that there has to be something greater than all these efforts we are trying to put together, that there must be someone out there that we may not see with our eyes but feel with our souls.
The Church challenged to use technology as a form of not only evangelism but also discipleship.
The employed encouraged to work heartily as for the Lord and not for men.
The housed urged to use innovative ideas to get to know the very people in that same house.
The discouraged beginning to see a glimpse of light at the end of the tunnel because generosity, faith, hope and love are still real and present.
The confirmed covid-19 case reminding us all that this life is fleeting and that even in the now, eternity is present.
This is still going to be the best year yet.
2020 IS the beginning of the new you, the new me, and it is definitely the beginning of an amazing decade!
We Are Here.
