We just want to keep going, always doing something, always on the grind, hustling and bustling through life without any reflection.
But, yo, what is that doing to us? These moments, coming here onto this space, gives me a chance to reflect for a minute.
There’s a lot of noise going on around me. And I’m sure the same could be said of you too. This morning as my husband and I were getting through our morning routine, we didn’t have music playing and it was just quiet, and we heard birds chirping away outside, the wind howling as if it was rushing right passed us, and even though it was cloudy, it was so peaceful.
And there was a stillness in all of it that brought to mind a Psalm that David wrote:
Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days. of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple.
Psalm 27:3-4 ESV
Take a minute, 30 seconds to just quiet your spirit and listen…
